SPIRIT AND LIFE CONFERENCE 2026

ANNOUNCEMENT AND TESTIMONY

Dear sisters and brothers,

The proclamation of the Gospel is not a secondary activity of the Church, but is part of her very nature. Mission springs from the Trinitarian heart of God: the Father sends the Son, the Son accomplishes the work of redemption, and the Holy Spirit applies this salvation to hearts. When the Christian community proclaims Christ, it participates in this divine movement of grace toward humanity. It is not simply a matter of conveying a religious message, but of proclaiming a historical and salvific event: the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, through which God reconciles the world to himself. The proclamation is therefore an act of fidelity to God and of love for one’s neighbor, because it offers the real hope of forgiveness, new birth, and eternal life.

Furthermore, witness makes visible what the proclamation proclaims. Word and life cannot be separated. A faith that does not translate into works of justice, mercy, and holiness loses credibility; at the same time, a morally upright life that lacks an explicit proclamation of Christ risks remaining silent about the source of hope. For this reason, the Church is called to unite clear proclamation with a transformed life.
