Jesus gave us this command in Luke 10:8: Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. Heal the sick in it and say to them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’

The message is, in fact:

a) Create the conditions so that you are welcomed;

b) sit down at table with people (as Jesus often did) to listen to them;

c) focus on their needs;

d) finally, proclaim the Kingdom of God to them.
